When David was dead or dying or whatever how did Selene know she could help him? Cause I mean really otherwise she was just randomly reaching into his chest and squeezing his heart so I assume she had some knowledge beforehand that, that was something she could do.
I think that when she drank the blood of Corvinus she gained a couple of unique traits that no other vampire has. She's even faster and stronger than she was in the first movie and heals faster too. She can also walk in the daylight without burning up. Presumably, if she transfers her blood to another vampire then she'd be able to pass on these gifts (or a limited version of them). Or at least, that's the rationale I used to accept what happened in this movie.
