Apparently we have 2 new films in production. A Kate Beckinsale film (yes!), a Theo James film (spin-off) and a TV series (Netflix?)

This is a big relief, it just wouldn't be right to continue the series without her, not after that cliffhanger at the end of Awakening. Now all they got to do is get Scott Speedman back.

Not only is it a relief...but that's a lot!

He did qualify that another Kate outing as Selene is "...possibly" in the works, so it's not exactly a done deal. But I'd love to see it come together; Beckinsale in PVC is the single best reason for the implementation of 3D technology ever.

a Theo James movie is a horrible idea. His character along with Awakening were completely unlikeable and unnecessary.

If they do both a Selene-UNDERWORLD and a David-UNDERWORLD movie, there would be two different movies/storylines for them to have Eve in. For the Selene ones, she is the daughter helping find/save her father, learning about the outside world right beside her parents who are reaclimating, and also learning about being a hybrid. In the David ones, she would be this little hybrid who is more powerful than pretty much everyone around her, she would be the girl who is still learning the world so David/etc. would have to help her figure out stuff, and it would also allow her to step up and be more of a leader.

Then, when/if they did not have KateB./Selene movies anymore, Eve could step up to be the Selene and David would be her right hand man, though it would be cool if for a while they could bring the cop back cause he was a pretty awesome character.

I liked David and the cop. The Cop reminded me a little of Lucian and David reminded me of Selene's friend who got her weapons in the first movie. Plus, I think that David's having died and being at Selene's side might help mature him a little and not having to play second fiddle would allow the writers more room to flesh out and grow his character. The cop would be great to bring back because he's a little like Lucian and Selene (as she was in the first movie and for a breif part of the second) where they've lost all they have to care about so life has become trying to figure out what you do besides vengence - fighting for causes, trying to rebuild?

Plus, I liked how the Cop and David worked together in their one scene together, so I think it would be cool to see them having to reteam in order to achieve a goal/save someone else while Selen, Eve, and Michael are off doing their thing. You could have two parallel stories with Eve being the joining character who is in both, thus keeping them together in one universe even though they are seperate lines of movies.
