Fable butchered... (SPOILERS)

Well, I'm not really suppose to post here since I'm boycotting the new lame site layout, but since this is a game it can't hurt...(basically this is the only forum I'm on that do games)

I didn't hate the game like my brother did who is way more of a gamer than me btw, but there where a lot of things I didn't like compared to the last games. I don't see why they dumbed it down so much, it's not like it wasn't easy enough already. There is no inventory, no expressions, no card games or anything like that (chicken racing is not a mini game). There is nothing good in any of the treasure chests, one of the gold key ones have a standard outfit that you can find all over the game. There is no warning that the game continues after you are king, by the time I was king I was done. He keep nagging me that we need money to save the people and how this 700,000 is going to really cut into out budget and we only got one year, only I had 16 millions before I even became king. My kingship lasted a total of 8 days before I slaughtered the boss, I hate playing under time pressure and I didn't know how many king quest there where so I just rushed trough them. There are no stats like longest chicken kick or any menus at all, there are no unique npcs to marry, no really cool hard to get clothing tattoos weapons or anything, no way to die, no aging, uses my xbox live user name and lame avatar in-game, have weapons that require online play to upgrade, the silver key chest give random loot (yes even the 50 key one) and there are 3 locked doors that never open. So whats wrong with the developers on this game? They basically boiled it down to press A to be good or press B to be bad, I think someone needs to be fired (Peter Molyneux).

If you go to the one room in the sanctuary. It has the stats in there. Not the armory, or clothes, or trophy room, but the other one. Its like the first thing on the left I do believe. Yes I agree that this game has soooo much potential and they make it suck. I mean you cant even walk over a 3 inch step.

I liked the game but I agree with you about being king/queen. I had no idea that the end would come so fast-- I thought I had no time, esp since I was on 121 days until attack, and the next day was the attack. It was really surprising and disappointing to me that it would end so quickly after all the build up! There's no signs of the darkness coming either- it just shows up and you defeat it.

It should have been longer, imo!

YES THIS. This pissed me off so much because I kindof assumed my Queenship would go at a steady rate (there's 3 weeks between day 1 and day 2 so I assumed I would have that between all the days) and then it skips four months? They could have done a lot of awesome things with that ruling the kingdom section and instead it's three hours of cutscenes and "press a or b."

Worst game of the series so far.
They dumbed the whole experience down so much. You can't impress a crowd now, you only talk to people one on one. Removed most of the stats. No "expressions". No mini games. Lack of sub-quests.

It's Fable for dummies.

I liked a few of the new additions.
The fact your weapons reflect your character's personality and change.
The way you can buy property from the map instead of having to go to each building...but then they messed that up by having to repair each individual building one at a time...TEDIOUS.

Really, the Fable games have so much potential...shame Molyneux can't see it.
Fable II was the best. While still not "perfect" it did offer a much greater game experience overall.
Playing Fable III is like playing the original Fable again.

For the next game, they should re-start. Cut loose from the Albion thing and start again from scratch.
Oh, and bring back the RPG elements. Stats, character building, etc.

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he is God.

I think one of the worst things in the game was the removal of the menu. Yes, the sancuary was kinda cool, but it was tedious to do anything there. Like, to change weapons, first you had to load the san. main room, THEN load the weapon room, then look for the weapon you want. If you don't know exactly what it looks like, you gotta cycle through every single weapon you've collected (same with clothes, tats, and hairstlyes). The only thing this was cool on was the clothing, so you could see how everything looks together.

And the map; you had to know where everything was in relationship to each other (not that bad since there wasn't that much in the game; mapwise) but if you forgot where, say, the Ossuary was, you could spend hours looking for it. I liked Fable II's system of selectin an area, then picking a subarea to go to.
