Logan even less satisfying than Lucien

Honestly the fact that you don't get an epic boss fight with him really blows.
I mean for God's sake the Hero and Logan have the same *beep* blood! Wouldn't it have been so much more awesome if he'd fought you ranting and raving the whole way through and then when you beat him he told you that he was tring to protect Albion from the darkness and THEN you had the choice to spare or kill him.
Peter Molyneaux LISTEN TO THE FANS!
We want an epic boss fight against the antagonist!
The Crawler barely counts I thought the design of the actual creature was pretty weak.

EDIT:
And also, What The *beep* was Logan doing (I was good and spared his life) at the happy ending.
At least have SOME scenes that reveal some humanity, completely wasted opportunity. I was really hoping for some backstory that showed Logan and the Prince/ss interacting as children and revealing some of Logan's single-minded determination to "save" Albion regardless of the cost.
Gah.

If I recall correctly, it's been stated by Walter and Theresa that Logan lacks any of the talent that a Hero posses. (thus why you're told often that Albion needs a Hero on the throne)

Yes, I'm a bit disappointed as well that you couldn't fight Logan, but if you could have, the fight would have been rather short.

Theresa does say that Logan would have led Albion to ruin, but I always felt that was more of a comment on his character more than anything else. When I spared Logan he commments that he's glad to be rid of the throne, an unwilling tyrant doesn't really fall under the same category as "hero" or "saviour" doesn it?
I also hated that none of your decsions have any effect on Albion until your coronation. In Fable II if you choose to save/destroy/neglect Oakfield and you'd have to live with that decision.
The shortage of quests also sucked and boring relationship quests don't count. I also think that the characters were rather underdeveloped.
I actually found myself missing the "Childhood" set up from the previous Fables, it was always great exploring the aesthetic of Albion, as well as the characters and the humour.
The fact that there is so little build up in the story before Logan forces you to kill either your best friend/lover or a group of innocent people felt really heavy handed and conflicted with the lighter tone of a lot of the other moments.

While I don't care about boss fights (indeed most bosses suck and are incredibly easy to beat, have too easy to spot patterns, or are outright cheap...) I can't say I agree about Logan being as bad/worse than Lucien.

I don't mind that I didn't necessarily get to kill Lucien. What I minded about that was... There really wasn't much buildup of him as a villain to begin with. He's portrayed as this guy who basically rules the world and has tentacles in everything... Yet he really doesn't. There's no real percieved threat behind him.

You're going after him purely for revenge. Well, that, and Theresa says to.

Fable 1 had a much better structured storyline and antogonist. Mostly because the game builds the guy up as being incredibly powerful, and he is. Your family is slaughtered, sister is taken, and then you're rescued and turned into a Hero. At which point, you take on Quests in the hope that you can find your sister again, and maybe get revenge on the guy responsible.

Fable III has much the same problem with Fable II. Logan isn't really much of a threat at all. The only thing that's "threatening" about him, is his policies of governing. He does only slightly "monsterous" things to his people and that's about it. He basically just lets things go on and does nothing. Much the same as Lucien.

Of course, our real enemy is introduced about 90% of the way through the game, and turns out to be less of a threat than Logan's army. Indeed, most of the Shadow people and such are less of a threat than 4 Balverines fighting you at once.

If you are going to have a boss, or "antognist" in your story or video game, you need to make them feel threatening. They must be sufficiently evil and powerful so that your protagonist is truly the only one who can stop them.

Fable II and III screwed the pooch on that aspect by making their villains totally docile and have almost nothing to do with any quest you undertake, including main quests. And then when it came time to deal with them, they were so unpowerful that you wondered why standard guards couldn't just dispatch them and why you had to do it yourself.

The only good thing about Logan was his Voice Actor. Michael Fassbender! <3

The voice acting of all the characters is what made this game bearable.
