The "german" speaking actors are hilarious xD

Just started with S3 and there is this situation where a guy from a german speaking origin asks the guy Annie is talking to for directions.
There were several situations in the show where they had people speak german or even act as if they are originally from a german speaking country and it's their mother tongue. To me as a german these situations are just so hilarious, cause a lot of times their accent and/or gibberish doesn't even make sense or you can hardly hear any of it cause they are just trying to rush down the words.

No critisizm, just observation that I found hilarious xD
Whenever I hear some german in the show it's just making me smile.
Also Piper Perabos german is at least one of the best on the show. But she seems to be pretty decent with languages in general, cause since I also speak french and russian I can at least tell, she is pretty decent in those too, at least pronunciation wise, I'm sure she doesn't actually speak them^^

i didn't think the deutch was too bad..
the main thing that kept me watching was seeing how well & not-so-well they did with some of the languages..
i speak several myself.. piper perabo did a very good job & i am sure she had many tutors etc. for such scenes..
it is indeed funny seeing the little things that are unlikely when you know a language yourself..
the thing is.. there is everyday conversational language between familiar people.. idioms.. slang.. stuff that is relevant in certain areas.. making certain dialects.. so.. given the show was about international espionage.. they did make good use of situations where formal use of languages would be appropriate.. {embassy events.. restaurants.. etc.}
it is what made it interesting for me.. it made up for things.. {like the ridiculous shoes piper's character kept on wearing.. hehe..}
i didn't think i would like it very much.. but.. the core cast was good.. & yes it all could have been much better.. but not many other shows have a mixed language component.. actually.. i would love to find something.. if anyone has any suggestions?
do not be scared of subtitles people! ^_-
all things considered.. & from the knowledge of languages i do speak & understand myself.. they did quite well.. if the show had more love or money or whatever needed for the people who helped create it.. in production.. etc. i am sure it could have been really great.. also.. it is hard starting a show at the beginning of a decade & end of another..

ok.. i must say this :: the greatest language in the world that we all need to learn better is LOVE.. it is the way to PEACE.. love is universal.. so put down your weapons & love people.. just love..

Perabo's Russian is so horrible it's painful. Being a native speaker, I understand her with extreme difficulty, and probably would not be able to make out a thing if it weren't for the subtitles. The actor who played Simon Fischer and another one, who played his handler in Cuba, did a much better job imitating Russian, but in no way could they pass for native Russians; it's ridiculous. Nor could Perabo, even if she had tried 10 times harder, and giving Annie a Russian passport, with her excruciating American accent, was stupid. Had the border guard just asked her anything -- and she would have been done!

Moscow was poorly imitated in "Let's Dance" (S03E10). Leaving aside foreign signs, the funniest thing was the subtitles -- sometimes they said completely different things from what was pronounced! And it was hilarious to see Annie freak out when she saw the police in the streets -- I assure you the Moscow police could not care less about a blond girl who just walks along a street. But they would certainly get interested if they saw her hide from them. :))) Oh, and Annie's guidebook entitled "Moskva"... Really? Where did the show producers see THAT nonsense? :))))
