i find all the fuss about jasper saying "butt posse" hilarious. the fact is, it's just a goofy phrase coming from a kid who has been harassed his whole school life -- and now has a cousin there to save his rear end. the meaning of the phrase is clearly defined in the episode by jasper himself -- there's no gay subtext despite some of the postings. it's just about the solidification of their friendship.

and as far as the use of F2F etc in dialogue in other episodes (current and upcoming) -- well i am trying to mine some humor out of the fact that henry is clueless about urban life, slang, technology etc and it would be dull to have that kind of thing just read off of a cell phone's led image. i'll cop to the fact that some of it may be unrealistic, but it is, after all, a fictional show.

anyway, i hope you all keep watching the show and providing feedback on sites like this -- i love the feedback and insight -- both negative and positive.

Hey just dropping a thought;
Don't want to sound a creeper, but I absolutely love the character Maggie and how shes developed/portrayed - smart but humble, gorgeous but "doesn't know it". Ideal characteristic that any guy SHOULD want in a girl.
Anyways that aside, got roped into the show cause there was the scene in the pilot where Maggie calls out Henry about the fastest bird in the world being the spine tailed swift, speed of ascension aside. Being a bird lover and animal keeper, I immediately thought, "HOLY sheez this shows the real deal!"
And though the following episodes have almost nothing to do with wildlife, I absolutely love the show (so far). Plus its a show me and my family can sit and watch together and enjoy!

I think it's very cool that one of the creators actually comes on here and interects with the fans for input. It's a very modern way to get a feel for what the people who are actually watching the show are thinking and get their feedback first hand. I only wish other writers/producers/etc would drag themselves into the new millenium and embrace this new fangled internet thingy the way you have, Mr. Werb. Bravo!

Oh, and by the way, I love the show so far. It's very Buffy-like.

"buffy-like?" well, that's about the biggest compliment i could get! fyi, the first episode we shot after the pilot "curse of the rolling stone" which still hasn't aired --was directed by major buffy-veteran david solomon. they've held it back because it was a little darker and more claustrophobic than some of the later eps (some of our sets weren't finished yet and the weather was awful in toronto). i think they're running it sometime in mid august. this week's is the one i just previewed at comicon -- "public school enemies." if you like cars and gangsters you might like it ...

yeah i have noticed the production order may be off. Hopefully once they all air you can set us straight on the production order?

Cause when it comes to all my favorite shows i get pretty anal when it comes to production code. Phil of the future, Kim Possible, That 70s Show, iCarly, and etc. So that would be awesome.

definitely. post a reminder at some appropriate moment ... but i will already say one thing about "curse" so you (or any consistent viewer) won't be thrown when it finally airs: henry is sick of sleeping in jasper's kiddie race car bed and is weaving a hammock. the construction and mounting of the hammock is a runner throughout the episode. but as i'm sure you've noticed, henry has been sleeping in a hammock all season long (with the exception of the pilot).

I'm glad the creators aren't afraid to get a bit dark with the show. It's always good for characterizations. Will the show come out on DVD once season one is completed?

good question! i'll have to ask the network execs and get back to you on that. i certainly hope so ... but right now (as i just said in a previous post) i'm just hoping we get to make 12 more!

Really enjoyed the episode tonight. Loved the Jasper and Maggie stuff. I'm curious if there is any Maggie stuff in the journals Jasper has kept throughout his life. ;)

Fingers crossed that you make it through a couple of SEASONS at least! It's like Indiana Jones only with more culture! I truly love it and tell the execs that people really like this show and they better not cancel it unless they want angry fans. Good luck!

thanks for the good wishes about season 2 ... but i have no idea if it will happen or not. i'm not paying the bills! don't be too disappointed about the lack of kissing in the car trunk -- i guess i went in a completely opposite direction, didn't i?

Yes, Yes you did. lol. But as i said i know what point we are at in the series to expect any kissing.

The thing with tv is you never really know when or if a network will cancel a show. So things you may be planning for future seasons may never happen.

So hopefully you get the opportunity to do everything you are planning to do with the characters.
