Closed-Captioning is screwy...

Love this show more than I can say, but what annoys me so much is whoever does the closed-captioning is more of a slacker than I am. And that's saying a lot.

Whenever there's any word or term remotely internationally inclined the captions say "[indistinct]". The word isn't indistinct, they just can't be bothered to research.

Wikipedia is my best friend and I love looking stuff up. I really wish they would get on the ball.

But as far as the show goes: awesome.

haha, i thought that was me. i'm used to keeping closed captioning on because of hearing-impaired family members. it's always "inaudible" for stuff that is clearly said or repeated. it's so odd. also, they only kept the lines up for a second, like when henry was talking to the dean's secretary. it was up way too quickly to read.

A-HA! So I'm not crazy. lol

Yea, we put the CC on for some reason or another when we first bought our TV and then we lost the remote that came with it. We've tried a dozen universal remotes and we haven't been able to access the setting for it. SO for the past three years or so we've just dealt with it.

Lol you get used to it. Also, what's great is sometimes they change dialogue on shows at the last second, usually just narration, most notably the opening and closing monologues from In Plain Sight, and they don't always change the CC. So you get to hear the final product and get to read the original draft.

I'm a nerd so this kind of stuff fascinates me. lol
