I am enjoying this show

I am an adult who is becoming sick of all the procedural shows about cops/lawyers/doctors. It is nice to have something different on the air. I know it is a family show, but I enjoy the history/mystery of it and look forward to each episode. I have something to talk to my nephews and little cousins about now, and something to watch with them when they come over that is family friendly and quite fun. Hope it stays around, I look forward to watching each week.

I'm an adult in his late twenties and I like the show too. It reminds me of the Encyclopedia Brown books I used to read as a kid.

I totally agree. At first I was sceptical about the show, but after watching a few episodes it seems quite good and I'm starting to look forward to every new one. Totally unexpected but definitely a show to follow.

Count me in as another adult who loves this show. My 10 year-old son and I can't wait until every Tuesday night for the next episode. We missed the second episode and got really mad when CN kept saying it was going to be on and then it wasn't. I'm trying to get others to watch, too.

Love that other adults are watching and liking this show! I do hope more word gets out so others will watch, I'd love a second season. Spread the word!

The show's website is interesting, I always loved learning new things and the way that it incorporates what is mentioned in each episode gives me little "fun facts" to talk to my nieces and nephews about when they come over. Thanks for making it educational as well as entertaining.

brenner -- thanks for watching! it's very rewarding to hear from families and teachers about how "unnatural history" can create an educational dialogue for watchers young and old. of course, most of it is fictionalized, but cartoon network has a "fact or fiction" section on their website for anyone who wants to know about (for example) whether or not poisonous birds really exist. spread the word -- we are hoping to come back for another season! mike werb (creator, executive producer)

I saw the advertisements for this show when i went to see a movie last week before the movie started. I had not heard of this show before last week. So tomorrow (later today) will be the first episode i watch on the TV. So i do think if it's given time the ratings will continue to pick up. As i said before last week i never heard of this show. So hopefully others have similar experiences and start watching.

what film did you see the ad before? was it ramona and beezus? just curious. hope you find something to like about UH. it's a low budget series (shot in toronto for D.C.) but we do our best to make it look cinematic, and even though it's a kids show, we try to not talk down to our audience whatever age they might be.

It was Despicable Me.

Also...i believe i saw it once before that as well a few weeks before but didnt pay attention to it like i did this last week.

I'm trying to think what movie it was advertised before that. I think it was either "Date Night" or that recent Russell Brand and Jonah Hill movie. But as i said didnt pay attention to the pre-preview previews that time. For Dispicable Me i paid attention.

So i can say for sure it doesnt only air before the younger audience movies. Because those other two movies are PG-13 and R. That's why im thinking it was shown before Date-Night as well. All i know is i have been to two movies where the upcoming first look of unnatural history was shown. First one didnt pay attention. This last one for Dispicable Me i did.

I'm fairly certain I saw the upcoming first look at the Toy Story 3 premiere too. I had to hide my geeky excitement about the show from the people I was with because I'm a history buff but it defiantly got stowed away in my brain and I'm glad it did. Also, I think I may be able to join the ranks of adults who love this show, though I'm not sure if 20 years old counts as an adult! :)

Are you watching closely?

reply

Yeah, I think certain theaters have the rights to show it from the cartoon network or something.

I'm a 20 year old college student and I love this show! I appreciate that it's not a big deal if I miss an episode and I feel like you get some really great character moments without it being a drama.

It reminds me a lot of a show I used to watch on disney as a kid called So Weird or The Mystery Files of Shelby Wu.
