Not surprised that it was cancelled

Because it was on the wrong network. It didn't belong on the Cartoon Network. Who's is going to expect to see a live action show on a channel created for cartoons. Anyone tuning in the Cartoon Network is looking for cartoons not live action. The only reason I found this show was because I was surfing the channels. This show would have been more fitting for the Disney Channel.

No, it was way too high quality for current Disney Channel programming. Maybe in the 1998-2003 era before they decided that every show needed to require kids having some sort of special musical talent (except they don't) or have some major secret (pop star, big movie star, etc). Actually, if Syfy wanted to develop programming that would appeal to a slightly younger demographic that would fall below the 18-49 range, I'd say this and Tower Prep would've done well on it.

Did you mean to hit reply to me or the original poster?

The History Channel would have been the most appropriate place for it, but no one in the target demographic watches The History Channel :-)
