Goodbye Him and her

I just watched episode 5, "Disco" and at the end the announcer said that was the last Him and Her ever. So i frantically searched the internet. I can't believe this is how the series is ending. I'm going to miss this show. It's so damn funny/emotional/disturbing. Wow. I so bummed out.

Me too! I hope that announcer was wrong. What an unromantic way of telling us!!!

after looking it up, I found a couple of UK based sites did run stories about this being the final Him and Her. Even though i really liked the new setting, i wish we would have gone back to their apartment. Oh well.

Considering Steve and Becky, hardly had any scenes together in this series it needed another episode back at the flat, it all seemed to end abruptly. Such a shame this show is over and yet all the other dross the BBC pumps out is left to run and run.

I thought that it ended really well. Well, if ending it at all can be done well.

After all the shenanigans and meanness the last scenes with Steve and Becky alone and with their good news was such an antidote to the rest of it.

It was nice to get back to the comparative (realistic?) warmth of "Him and Her" and away from THEM.

I believe that the show ended because the writer didn't want to write anymore or didn't know where to take it.

As with all great comedies (and I do consider it one) it's best to leave wanting more.

Yes, unfortunately it was the final episode.

We should start a campaign to keep this excellent series going. I want to see Steve and Becky have their baby and get married themselves. There's lots more stories to tell.

Russell Tovey has moved to be in the usa series "Looking" as a regular, so this won't be coming back
