WAY too much church in this movie.

I don't know... it wasn't too bad. When he first mentioned taking the girl to church, I got a really bad feeling and thought "ok, here we go" and I expected them to really lay it on thick. Because who does that? Who asks a strange girl that they like to come to church with them? Maybe if they lived in Utah and were all Mormons or something, I could see it happening. But in the movie's setting, it just seems kind of bizarre.

Maybe it didn't overwhelm the movie so much from my point of view because of how much worse I expected it to be after that first scene. I think there were only 3 or 4 religious scenes, and only one that was preachy (literally). I don't remember any of the characters actually reference god other than the preacher. They may have over done it in that scene a bit though.
