Is this show a comedy?

I've seen Louis C.K. in interviews, late night shows, and movies and I like his style of humor. I was interested in seeing his show so I watched the highest rated episode on IMDb: Into the Woods Part 2 (I also watched Part 1). There was little comedy in the episodes and felt mainly like a drama. Is the whole show leaning towards drama or was it just those episodes? Are there any really funny episodes that anyone would recommend?

It may have been a little closer to a pure comedy in the beginning. As the show progressed, it became more surreal and, IIRC, less comedic. But there was a lot of drama and seriousness throughout the series. For the most part, it's not a laugh out loud type of show. I felt like it went downhill a bit after season 3. With stuff like the "Elevator" saga in season 4, I thought the show became more ambitious than entertaining.

There is alot of funny parts but also alot of drama and long talks about relationships and feelings.

This show, just like life, you just take the good with the bad, the ugly, and the boring.

Check out season 1 episode 10...Ricky Gervais has a hilarious part at the hospital.

The very last episode is the funniest in my opinion. He has to do some shows with this ridiculous guy, you gotta see it, I died laughing and the very last part is really funny too.
