Robin Williams

Rewatching the Robin Williams episode in light of recent events is absolutely tear-jerking.

Man I came here to say the same thing. It's so awkward now, watching that, especially since in the end of that episode he makes arrangements for when he dies.

yup - we just rewatched it on Netflix. eerie

I watched last night too. It was my all time Louie episode before his death and even more so after!

Loui promised to go to his funeral. He better.

Just watched it. I didn't know he was in the episode but when I saw him at the begining I was happy to see something new from him... it was a nice surprise but the end was so sad.

The more I've thought about it, this appearance by Williams is probably gonna stand as a late triumph. I have been searching through his films and most from the last 20 years are very mediocre. He's fine in them, but the projects were not worth his time.

True, that is the weird thing. He is a brilliant Mrs. Doubtfire and it is an incredibly nuanced performance. The movie is sappy *beep* nonetheless.
He is great in One Hour Photo but the movie itself does not work.
He is not just "fine", he is really, really good, pretty much at the top end of what was possible with the roles. But the movies around that just don't deliver.

Insomnia worked for me though.

I darent rewatch it right now, when I heard of his death the episode was the first thing that I thought of, gonna have to give it at least a year I think.
