Compared to the previous leads, Daniel McPherson and Warren Brown are seriously underwhelming.
I get that both actors are athletic (McPherson is a triathlete, Brown is a former World Champion kickboxer) but neither has much in the way of charisma or the ability to project onscreen physicality.
Both of them also look too baby-faced.
Loved Warren Brown as Ripley in Luther, didn't know he was the athletic type so that's a plus and I saw the other bloke in a film recently, forget what it was called, but it wasn't bad and he's definitely athletic enough for the part. I'll be giving them a chance.

Exactly. I've watched all of Luther and I was shocked that Brown was a professional kickboxer in real life.
He doesn't project physicality at all.
