Or does it cover the battles in Africa and russia aswell. Am just watching Vietnam in HD and might watch this next but if it's just the American side I'll probably go for a different one as many major battles were fought in Russian.

shareThanks I'll give it a miss then. The world at war seems like the best option for getting all sides but it's 26 one hour episodes was looking for something shorter.
shareYeah I mean it is still good for what it is, and there is so much never before seen footage in this documentary (all in color i might add) that it is worth the watch just for that alone. I just find it surprising that people don't understand why an american station would make a american centered documentary. I am sure Britain, France, Canada, etc. do the same thing.
shareI can't speak for France and Canada but British ww2 docs normally cover all allies unless the title is specifically about britain for example 'battle of Britain' that would only be about britain.
I have no problem with US docs just covering their part but the title is misleading 'WW2 in HD' is a bad title if it's only going to cover US part of the war. The majority of people died in Russian battles it could've been called 'US in WW2'
That's an awful title though and you're missing out on a great documentary series by being so close-minded

"Close-minded" why because i want to see all sides? Thats literally the opposite of being 'close-minded'.
shareThis is a collection of stories centered around a few different people in different situations (ie. Nurse,pilot, reporter, etc..) and is only centered on their situations which involve filming in color. That's what this selection of episodes are. There are many different types of WW2 movies out. If you want to watch them, that's fine. But you will be missing out on what WW2INHD offers.
I understand wanting to watch a documentary that shows all sides but that's not what this is about.
One things for sure, it won't be a waste of time for you, I guarantee it.
