No Midway?

They didn't skip it, but they only had minimal color footage, as color film wasn't as widely used until the island hopping campaign. Also, the recollections involved people who were not there.

IMO just like people complaining about skimpy D-DAY beaches and landing coverage, I think Midway too was a battle that has been extensively covered in so many documentaries, that maybe they cut them short.
Just a thought.
