Why did those peasants attack them?

So, a group of warriors armed to the teeth and in body armor, descends from the sky and those peasants immediately start to threaten them, I really don't understand this scene...

reply

They were making cocaine.. they werent vegetable farmers.

reply

Yet at the end of the day they weren't much more threatening than vegetable farmers and greatly miscalculated their position and paid for it with their lives. I'm siding with the OP on this.

reply

If their crops were stolen or ruined they would pay for it with their lives from the Drug Lords. Both ways they had to attack.

reply

Well despite the farmers imediately rifling through/stealing their money the mercenaries were quite clearly trying to negotiate an arrangement that only fell through because of the farmer's defiant, indignant & increasingly hostile attitudes.

Again they fatally miscalculated their position through no one's fault but their own when they should have listened & negotiated.

reply

I agree with Smc.. we know who these guys are, the farmers dont. The way they reacted tells you is not the first time. A group of warriors just don't fall out the sky. They had a right to be theatened right away

reply

Because there was a mountain of cash maybe? And 2 wimpy guys they could take, and the rest of the crew injured in the helicopter? They misread the situation.
