Had a decent start then once it was about halfway through really ran out of steam. It was a really unbelievably cheesy ending and just felt like the whole thing needed some tightening and suspense.

shareI liked it..Most of the film remained suspenseful to me and the acting was excellent throughout.
I wasn't that crazy for the ending but in retrospect it made the most sense...and endings are always the hardest part of any film to get right.
I guess if ones aim is to be critical then any film is vulnerable. Nothing will ever be perfect.
But I think most people that like this cast will enjoy this film.
I rather think the purpose of this site is to be critical and analytical, so I'm not sure where your comment comes from. I didn't rip it apart but pointed out the flaws and how the talent was there for it to be much better.
It sounds like you liked it but didn't love it... therefore mediocre.
I'm not necessarily criticizing you but just noting that there seems a propensity these days to dwell more on what one doesn't like about something rather than what one does...I found it better than you seemed to give it credit for and responded in kind.
I will tend to focus more on what I do like. If it entertains me than I consider it a big plus.
I can be very critical in my own way because of the multitude of films I begin and never finish because they bore me. That's usually my response to mediocre.
I would apply the term mediocre to a film I found just barely watchable.

Yes it was mediocre. It had some of nice suspenful scenes but like you said it ran out of steam. I also expected a lot more action. I did enjoy it though, it is worth a one time watch. 6,5/10

shareAgree completely. I was expecting way better than it turned out. Also, the main character behaving the way he did after his introduction didn't really make sense and that ending, sheesh less we say the better.
