Yeah, what's Charlie Rotter's motive?

I'm sorry, but even I (who shows signs of bipolar disorder) find it ludicrous that Charlie Rotter would become a psycho killer simply because he was humiliated in front of his daughter.

Rotter had a history of mental illness in his family. Not to mention all mental disorders effect people differently, you can't use one experience to compare to another's. Being humiliated in front of his beloved daughter was the last straw for him.

Then why was he trying to kill her? Y'know, when she and Rich Bitch are trapped in the room with him?

reply

He wasn't trying to kill her. She was trying to get out and was dragging the rich bitch along. If he wanted to kill her, he could have killed her right after he took his mask off (after throwing her friend outside- which he did becuase if the fact that he was her friend). He was strictly going after the rich bitch. Also if you notice, he never killed any of her actual friends either.

I still don't get why he killed Lily, she was actually nice to Skye.

He didn't do the killings because he was humiliated in front of his daughter. If you remember, in his original killings, he killed the last two after the humiliation but he already had 4 kids dead in barrels in the basement from a year before. They kind of implied that he was doing the killings because the teens didn't appreciate the Rollerdome that Skye and him loved and were abusing it and not treating it with respect (stubbing cigarettes on the pool table, sticking gum on the statues). I assumed that this plus his mental disease was his reasoning for doing the killings so he could protect the roller rink. In the case of the guy and gal he killed on the floor right before getting caught by the police originally, the humiliation was probably the bigger motivator for their deaths but it had nothing to do with the original 4 deaths. But remember, they not only humiliated him but they also broke the window and the pool cue of the table so they were destroying part of the place that he loved also.
