What the hell is the wife moaning about?

She says he only cares about work and is never around. Sure, he does go to work (and is kicking ass at it) but also does the grocery shopping, chips in waking up for the kids, drops the twins off to daycare/picks them up, picks the daughter up from ballet class.

She says he's never home for dinner, but he usually sings some stupid dinner song so he must be there?

What does she actually do other than moan and lash out with physical abuse when he's less than perfect?

reply

That's actually a very good observation. I guess she loves to complain.

For some reason, i HATE that actress Leslie Mann, because she's always playing a b_itch

reply

^same - she plays the same effing character every time!!!

Obviously you are not married, because this how most wives are. I speak from experience

Obviously you are not HAPPILY married.

quit being an ass.

Women always complain for no reason...

She was a whining little bitch wasn't she???

reply

Just because he does those things every once in a while doesn't mean that he is doing enough.

reply

Yeah, all men are thoughtless selfish lazy pigs that never do enough for or give enough attention to the flawless princesses in their lives, at least if modern western media and advertising is anything to go by.

...then whoa, differences...

reply

No one said that. But the idea that because he sometimes does something around the house or with the girls that that means that he's doing enough is ridiculous.

reply

Yea all he did was make all the money and chip in watching the kids while she's living in a luxurious home in her designer clothing being a housewife.

State champ in martial arts, trained with firearms, I eFF'n dare you!

reply

When he said he wanted to quit work she nearly crapped her miserable prostitute knickers - except if she was a whore he would get more action.

They never say how often he eats dinner and sings that song though. They just say that he sings it when he eats dinner with them. But it doesn't have to be every day. It could be once a week for all we know.

And would anyone really say that it would be enough for a mother to just pick up her children from daycare/drop them off there, do the grocery shopping every once in a while etc? Most people would be shocked at how bad she is. But because it's the father then him just doing something is considered enough. The bar is set ridiculously low when it comes to fathers and their participation around the home.

I agree with you and not with the OP. She was bitching because most men in that line of work are ridiculously busy. He is a good father and does provide, but she takes care of them all day long and needs a break, which is why it would be nice for him to at least show up for dinner or talk to her. She takes care of the kids, makes dinner, and we see him changing some diaper's and feeding the kids every second morning. Plus when they change bodies, that doesn't help either. He completely disrespect's her. That's what she's bitching about but I also agree with the other posters who said they don't like Leslie Mann. I don't either and usually avoid movies with her in them. I love Jason Bateman so that's why I watched it and I'm really disappointed that he made a movie like this. They're usually family friendly and genuinely funny. But this movie didn't make me laugh at all.

PS- I think they made a big deal about the dinner song because it seemed like it doesn't happen very often so they wanted him to do it since he was finally there.

In my experience, my friends relationships as well as mine, women bitch about what they don't have.
The answer to the question, "What do women want?" Is "everything".

If you don't work too much and are home taking care of everything, she'll bitch that you need to work more and make more money.

If you work hard and make her rich, she'll bitch that you aren't home enough taking care of *beep*

If you're banging her regularly and well, she'll bitch that you only use her for sex.

If you're very attentive to her emotional needs, she'll bitch that you aren't banging her enough.

You can never win.
What do women want? EVERYTHING.

If there's a single thing that she doesn't have that one of her friends do, you're screwed.
