Another Lovecraftian film.

And, this time, a good one, albeit a low budget one.

The screenplay is basically an adaptation of "The Haunter of the Dark" with elements of "Pickman's Model" and an offhand reference to "The Music of Eric Zann". Writing is good, with some dialog that sounds a bit archaic (but in a story with a character named Goodie Hines... I can live with it.) Cinematography is excellent and acting ranges from very good to not very... Overall, it's a nice bit of work but not great. However, among "Lovecraftian" films, this one actually feels a bit like Lovecraft.
