He doesn't strike me as a heroin user! He is so big and energetic. He seems like more of a boozer to me!

He reportedly threw a journo out of an interview once because the journo sparked up a joint. I can't see him shooting up heroin. Apparently he's very anti-drugs.

seems like people who enjoy drugs are sure he does them. the people who don't are sure of the opposite.
you can't take his comments on the subject at face value. if someone put a microphone and camera in my face and asked me about my drug habits i have no idea what i'd say, and jack is very careful about his public image.

i now its a cover of a leadbelly song, but why would someone do a cover song time and time again whose message is "screw the dangers, lets all gather round and do some coke, i'm buyin" if they hate all drugs.
obviously he isn't a drug addict. obviously he's tried them a time or two.
There's heaps of rumours floating around the net that Renee Zellweger is a massive coke head. If any of that is true, I highly doubt that Jack dated her for a couple of years when he was young and just becoming a bona fide rock god and didn't dabble a bit.

From personal experience... you can dabble and still think that hard core drug addicts are total dickheads and not be impressed with blatantly unprofessional behaviour (a la a journalist lighting a joint during an interview). A few joints, the odd line... is it really any different from knocking back a few drinks? At the end of the day, alcohol's just another drug. [/liberal rant over] :)
My wild stab in the dark personal opinion, based on gossip and gut instinct and zero evidence? I reckon he's tried. Would be surprised if he hadn't! But doubt he's got any long term issues. And couldn't care less what he's experimented with.
He ALWAYS wears t-shirts so it would be kinda hard to hide the track marks, if so.

I am not a drug user or anything but had many friends dabble in shooting up heroin, coke, meth etc.... It is very easy not show show tract marks. I really doubt he was shooting up. It is just that the scene made me ask that question. He has a rope if i remember on his arm and says something like your turn. Do not quote me on that! Just what I thought he said.

and i don't see how anybody could watch that "bleeding" scene in It Might Get Loud and not realize that jack is on drugs
not because of the bleeding, but because of how trashed his eyes are
there's NO WAY in hell he's sober during that solo, and it's obviously something stronger than weed
also... i've done heroin (i've done almost ALL drugs), and it SURE looks like he was on heroin to me. this is coming from an expert on the subject
in fact i am 99% positive that's what it is
i've also seen jack all talking too fast and itching himself like crazy, obviously on cocaine (you can see that during one of the interviews on under great white northern lights)

don't get me wrong, i like to get high. i'm not coming down on jack white whatsoever. i'm sure that's how he gets into the right state of mind to write a lot of amazing songs

anybody who is claiming jack is straightedge is just an anti-drug person who either doesn't realize jack is on drugs because they've never done them themselves... or they feel protective of him and are in denial
i mean, i've seem him TOTALLY WASTED (not just a little high) a whole lot of times. it's captured on film all over the place, what more proof do you guys need?

It makes no difference to my life whether Jack White is into heroin, coke or beastiality, but do you really think he would be so stupid as to let himself be seen on camera? Especially as he has went on in the past about drugs being for losers. I know the scene, he is doing something with the rope and Meg is in the next room and she comes in and they have a laugh. My guess, and it's only a guess and quite out there really, but could he possibly have been taking the piss? You know, quite sarkiliy sending up the image of the dabbling rock star. Just a stab in the dark.

Exactly.Why in the hell would he be shooting up.....on camera?!?! Also, the filmmakers are his friends and biggest fans. If it was on there(which I highly doubt) You'd think his friends would edit that out..also he probably watched the film before it's release.
So to answer the question....No...No he wasnt shooting up.
Nothern lights is a reference to Canada. Congrats on the drug abuse though.
