Shaq vs. Steve Nash: “Shortly after O’Neal was traded to the Suns in February 2008, Nash mentioned to his new teammate a reality show he was pursuing. It would feature the Suns point guard taking on professional athletes in their own sport. The topic didn’t come up again until early in the 2008-09 season, when O’Neal boarded the Suns bus and told the team he would be starring in a new reality show in which he would be taking on, you got it, professional athletes in their own sport. ‘You mean the idea you stole from me?’ one Suns representative said he heard Nash say. In reality, a source close to Nash said, ‘Steve was pissed. He couldn’t believe Shaq’s lack of integrity.’” Nash lawyered up, and presto, he got an executive producer credit on the show. He passed on the opportunity to bash Shaq when reached by a columnist. [Arizona Republic]

I would be pretty pissed too, Nash is taking the high road by not bashing him but I think he should totally go off on him in the media.

Im a Nash fan but he cant win a war of words with the big mercenary.

Well Nash's idea was different. He was going to face them in his own sport, he was going to train with them

Plus no one was realistically going to watch Nash vs anyone. It's much more marketable with a huge personality like Shaq.

Don't get me wrong, I love Nash but that would be the most boring tv show ever conceived. It'd be interesting to watch on youtube but it's not marketable to a wide audience.

I don't know, Nash is pretty funny!
But I think you're right, it wouldn't do as well as Shaq's show. Shaq is just more known than Steve, so more people would watch Shaq Vs.

The fact that shaq is a giant and Nash is basically normal sized also works against Nash.

Nash just said on Twitter that Shaq is a funny guy. I don't think he has a problem with it.
