Name on Visor of Bart's Car

Saw the movie last night and am confused. When "Bart" is sitting in his mustang getting ready to leave before the police show up to arrest him, he pulls down his visor and the name on the registration says "David Murdoch". Does this mean he planned to drive off with a new identity?
