Not in the movie. (Spoiler) Important too!

He killed at least 3 people! Not just 2 that they show in the movie. In between Dolly and Jenn's murders , he dated an older lady. I think she was in her early 50's?.. Anyway she disappeared when he told her he was going to get married to Jenn. A few years later, they found her car submerged in a lake, she was in the car, her hands were "Duct taped" to the steering wheel!! They know he did it but they can't prove it!!.. So with all of these killings, he may have killed even more women. Anyone that refused a date or turned him down for other reasons etc. So if anyone that you know that went missing around the time he lived in those areas, it might be a good idea to pass his name off to the detectives there.

"They know he did it but they can't prove it".

If they can't prove it, then they don't know it. That's what "know" means.

Read the book then you will understand.

I am married to a Detective, so I know what you mean. if you cannot prove beyond a resonable doubt, well, then you have a problem.

Although there is no proof that he killed the older lady, it does seem obvious in the book. When it said she'd gone missing, my first thoughts were that he'd killed her.

"I could have been killed, and you're drinkin'!"

Well, let me be honest with you. For many years, I have known the daughter of a man who was close friends with the real Bart Corbin. I will not say their names, however. But the girl's mother was murdered some time ago (not sure of the actual time/date) and her body was never found and some would say that Bart did it, but nobody really knows. They never figured out who did it.
