Guys don't talk like that to other guys

This is what gets me about all these romcoms. Guys don't have conversations with their guy friends about girls the way it's portrayed in these films. These movies just make it out to be a more masculine version of the way females interact with each other. That's not what transpires in real life, at least for guys.

The most that's exchanged in real life amounts to "she's pretty nice/hot, good job!" and then they go on to talk about myriad of other non-relationship topics, ranging from sports to video games all the way to existential metaphysical crap! Relationship talk to the level of detail portrayed in these films is just never discussed (albeit, when alcohol is involved, I admit feelings come more easily to the surface).

Now that doesn't mean guys don't think about these things; on the contrary, I suspect there's few humans alive that don't think about these things on a daily basis. But it's so rare they share these thoughts with other guys.

I don't know how realistic the female dialogue is, but I suspect it's a bit overly dramatized as well.

I'm a guy. Your blanket statement is incorrect.
