Very atmospheric/tense, but why oh WHY that ending? SPOILERS obviously.

Is it really too much trouble to expect horror films to actually have some form of an ending these days? Apparently it really, really is.

I have watched three films on Netflix back-to-back after telling myself I should avoid modern horror altogether. Every single one of these completely random films ended with no resolution. It's such a cliche nowadays to either leave things completely open-ended and/or have the villains win. It is done to death!

Seriously, after an hour of watching these psycho kids butcher school staff and fellow students in horrible ways (that gym teacher--yikes!), not only do we not get to see them get their comeuppance, the entire movie just freaking ends out of nowhere! What the hell is that?!

Would it be too much trouble to at least write a proper conclusion or maybe give some solace to the viewer that these kids at least got arrested, or must every freaking horror movie these days pull an Eden Lake and have the sociopathic, murdering antagonists get away with it? It's so irritating.
