the first or 2nd night, joe goes to a free comedy show of some sort...when he asks around for a room to stay at, a woman tells him she has a birdhouse. if i'm not mistaken, that's tig notaro :)

Me too. Though it seemed strange she would be at some hacky open-mic deal.

I agree, it's strange as *beep* that a comic would be hanging out at a comedy show.

It's her. She may be an improv instructor. Also, it's not uncommon for comedians to test new material in small venues.
