Pool Archer is Cyborg too!

When Archer confronts Veronica after she shoots the first Archer, he says that the one she just shot was a witness and recorded the whole thing. Maybe the memory device will show what happened to the real Archer.

It seems very possible, considering that they showed 2 cyborg Kriegers just a bit earlier. It would be somewhat lame regardless. If that's it I feel like they should have ended the season differently.

reply

YEa that's what I'm assuming, and will be kind of lame to reveal it that way too since it's kind of obvious, but anyway they resolve it is probably going to be pretty cheap anyway. The only other way would be to go super complicated and over the top like time travel which doenst' really fit the show to me.

Have like this season but kind of wish they just did 13 episodes and used the next 3 to resolve everything left hanging. Dead Archer in the pool, who the fake Veronica Deane in the premiere was and what she was planning to do with the disc and how she knew about it. Think a few more episodes would be an easy way to wrap it all up together doesnt' really need a whole season more.

reply

I didn't think aliens would fit the tone of the show either and yet they did it. But yeah, otherwise I completely agree.

reply

They've gone to a futuristic space station, been miniaturized to go into a person's body, seen extraterrestrials, there were clones of Krieger, he made numerous at least two cyborgs, and numerous androids. How does time travel not fit the show? If it wasn't another Archer android in the pool, which the multiple Krieger androids could have been hinting at, then it's the real Archer who is dead and he could be rescued with time travel.

However, I would love a time travel that shows how Mallory formed ISIS, got Sterling involved, hired everyone (we saw how she met Lana), etc in lieu of flashbacks.

I bet the real Archer got whisked away on a dangerous by the CIA mission between arriving and confronting Veronica. And a cyborg replaced him. And Archer told it to propose to Lana cause he didn't know he if he would be coming back...
Just a guess...

Or Siberia...
It would be a good way to get them back to their spy roots.
They did the same with Archer Vice.

There is one piece of "evidence" that speaks against the dude in the pool to be a cyborg though. Namely that his face hasn't popped off. If you check out the show, ALL shot cyborgs had their faces pop off. The corpse in the pool did not. So...

reply

Forgot about that.
Maybe it's someone wearing a mask? Krueger had some
.

reply

Their faces began popping off before they were shot (It was the reason they were shot as well)...so that means nothing. Also Archer was "Luigi" as Rando.

reply

"Their faces began popping off before they were shot"

Nope, you are wrong. Watch it again.

reply

Wasn't that as a result of a) their heads shaking before they were shot and b) being shot in the head?

reply

Yes it was the questions that led to the shaking which led to the bullets...Evilhenchmen is certainly mistaken.

reply

My only question would be where was the other cyborg? There was only one Archer in the cyborg pods and where was it in the car (assuming it wasn't just cyborgs in the car and the real Archer didn't even come)? My bet is that was the real Archer in the pool and he'll be cyborged like Barry.

reply

Still say they are all cyborgs and the real ones are still in New York.

reply

Regardless, it was a let down. The entire season was based off of the intro "Who killed Archer??" And there were clues along the way that it wasn't really Archer.

But to leave it unresolved is just poor writing.

reply

Yep. I think the Archer we've been following all season is one of Krieger's cyborgs, and that Archer himself is still banging away in some exotic location.
