[Season 7 and 8 spoilers] Is it just me...

... Or is the Dreamland idea really stupid??
For those who might not know, a trailer for season 8 was shown at Comic Con. The trailer isn't online yet, but people who were there described the clip

So... I am very uneasy about this. Is the entire season going to be inside his head? Making impossible for any character development except for Archer? For an entire season?
And, if it's really going to be all inside his head, will we have to wait until he gets off the coma so the questions left on season 7 get any answer? Oh boy...
I honestly don't think the show has gotten bad over times, I mean, season 7 wasn't the best, but I loved season 6 and, against all odds, I also loved Vice, so don't get me wrong, I want this season to be good but oh man.
Is anyone else thinking the same?

This dream is short, but this dream is happy.

Haven't seen anything yet.
Will see the new season anyway, so I'm not bothering with trailers.

But maybe Archer's in a coma of some sorts.
Hallucinating all kinds of wacky stuff while uncovering more about his past.
The last time he "saw" his dad was when he was tripping balls on Gurpgork.

In the meanwhile, in the real world, the team is having their own problems to deal with.
One of them getting Archer out of his coma.

Maybe it's just a small part of the season.
I personally didn't like the Archer Vice fast-forward spoiling a lot of stuff.
Maybe they don't wanna do that again?

I like the idea overall for an episode, maybe two but will hate it if the entire season is in his head because of the lack of development for other characters as you mentioned. Could work alright if they flash back and forth between his Dreamland story and what the others are doing, but would hate to see Archer and the others not truly interacting for an entire season. So I'm hoping it's just the premiere or first few episodes then he wakes up.

Maybe they are continuing with the whole "Magnum PI" theme. That had a few "dream" episodes.
