Renny Harlin has had 5 Razzie Awards for worst director. This one will likely be number 6. Andy Garcia will have perhaps 15 minutes of footage. If Harlin's smart he'll conclude this film with Vladimir Putin giving a speech saying, "I ordered our army to attack Georgia not to stop ethnic cleansing of Ossetians or because our peacekeepers were killed, but because I want to kill the lame love story that is taking place just over our border." That's right, the movie will be about how the Russian Army attacked a British-Georgian love affair on 08/08/08. The trailer tells you everything.

To be exact... Harlin has 4 Razzie nominations for worst director (1990 for "Ford Fairlane", 1995 for "Cutthroat Island", 2001 for "Driven" and 2004 for "Exorcist - The begginning") but has NEVER WON Razzie.

Maybe you should check your facts before writing you're statements. To your oppinion about a movie that HASN'T EVEN COME OUT YET... Well oppinions are like the hole on your behind, everyone's got their own, and you are entitled to yours.

It's always fun to bash directors or actors in advance just because you haven't like some or all of their previous works...

It was five, genious. Cliffhanger (which I didn't think was that bad). Nevertheless, most of the movies Harlin made were crap. When I saw the trailer, I already noted several examples of badly written dialogue not to mention acting. Like Val Kiler's line, "Oh, I'm so glad you guys didn't die", and very wooden at that. Watch the trailer, as I said. Note a scene of the ending most likely when the Brit and the Georgian girl run and embrace each other is a clear indication of a love story. I liked Harlin's movies like Cliffhanger, Die Hard 2, and Deep Blue Sea. I've seen almost all his movies, and the guy is a joke. Georgia will just add to the list.

Back to the Razzies... It's not five! Cliffhanger was nominated for "Worst film", "Worst screenplay" (Sylvester Stallone), "Worst supporting actor (John Lithgow)" and "Worst supporting actress" (Janine Turner)" but not Harlin directing. And still, none of Harlins movies has ever WON Razzie, only have been nominated.

And for that trailer... It's not official trailer but montage of rough material edited for AFM (American Film Market). According to Harlin, trailer is coming in late summer or early fall.

If at some point you have read the scripts of Harlins movies, you'd see that his movies are actualy way better that what potential those scripts had. Still he has made some horrible movies in my oppinion. For example Driven is horrible, almost unwatchable. I personaly like Die Hard 2, Ford Fairlane, Cliffhanger, Long Kiss Goodnight, Deep Blue Sea, Cleaner and 12 Rounds (despite the acting skills of John Cena).
