From Die Hard 2 and The Long Kiss Goodnight to This?

Die Hard 2 and The Long Kiss Goodnight were both very good action films. Technically well made with good acting and awesome dialoge. Even the Cliffhanger was pretty decent actioneer and Deep Blue Sea was stupidly entertaining like these kind of movies have to be.

Let's leave all the politics who's right who's wrong aside and just talk about the film. The acting was terrible. The cast was pretty good and you could have expect some decent acting at least, but it seemed like non of the actors actually didn't care. I mean even Rade Serbedzija was bland and boring, and he's usually the actor who is everything but boring. The best piece of acting came from another acclaimed actor - Val Kilmer. When his character Dutchman met other in Gorgi and his line:"I'm so glad you didn't die." He said it like someone who he called for his housparty somehow couldn't come at first, but finally showed up. "I'm so glad you could come, guys."

Then the camerawork and directing. It seemed like they used miniDV cameras for most part. I really expected much better work from veteran action director like Renny Harlin.

Hey, he started his career with Born American, which is a way terrible movie.

Born American was his first feature, and it's quite rare when director's first film is masterpiece. I'm not saying Harlin has made any special masterpieces at all, but he has have some decent films in his resume.

He did, but what I wanted to say is that his Born American is equally bad as this film for e.x.

With that you're wright. Basically you could say that Renny Harlin went back to his roots when he made awful movies.
