If I'd seen this when I was 12-13yo I would have liked it more

There's a lot of people here bashing this film, but I think that the problem is that they're losing the focus on the fact than this movie is directed towards a young teenager audience. Amanda is beautiful as always and the story is as lame as ever, but well, if I had seen this when younger I think I would have liked it, but now seeing it as an adult is perhaps not interesting, I watched it with somebody else (that likes this kind of films, I wouldn't have watched it out of my own will) and I can say that for a teenager audience it's ok 5-6/10.

There is nothing “lame” about the Red Riding Hood story. It is a grim (pun intended) tale of real horror. It has always been a horror story, and was never meant for children. It has always been a werewolf story. I grant that it’s been re-told badly; that should not detract from the source material, just as Godspell and Jesus Christ, Superstar should not detract from the Bible.

I like movies that can appeal to young teenagers and adults alike. In fact the whole family. The actors didn't seem to take it seriously enough. As though they could relate to young teenagers in that way. I've rated it 6/10 anyway.
