Warning: Not For Children!

This movie started out harmless enough, is a pleasant story about a school and people making the best of it and sure it may get 7.2 because there are so few movies from this part of the world, however, that number is highly deceptive as it quickly descends into a movie of violence and depravity.

This is not for children. It sure gives off the impression that it is in the beginning.

The endless stream of violence in movies is destroying the minds of generations and the future is going to pay for it. We are already beginning to pay for it. Trust me this violence that is shown to people in media is infecting the minds of many individuals that take it from the fictional out into the real world until we start seeing more of the things that happen on the screen in real life. The possible responses to my comment here will show all you rational readers just how it has changed their minds.

Valuable learning experience.

It was a war-movie? What did you expect? Additionally, the movie has a PG-13 rating. I don't know if it is the violence on TV or your apparent lack of intelligence but you sure like to complain on stupid stuff.

This isn't the contextless and glorified stream of violence, though; this is a film that's an intentionally hard watch because it analyzes consequences. It's not light, it's not The Expendables. Violence in media doesn't make people violent, that old chestnut has been debunked time and again, but this type of film certainly isn't because the violence it shows isn't meant to be "fun" like blood-filled action flicks, it's meant to be pathos and reflect the reality of the situation Matilda lived in, and by extension life. It's meant to make you feel something, it's meant to hit you hard and bring you home, not exhilarate you and provide escapism.
Death and murder being shown in a competent, emotional way like this is worlds removed from watching how totally cool it is when Van Damme kicks in people's skulls--they serve different points and are done in vastly different ways and elicit vastly different emotional responses--which is worlds removed from kids who aren't already mentally unwell thinking it'll be a great time gaining fame through a massacre.

As the topic is still hotly debated I'd like to know where you found these studies. On a message board perhaps?
