No, it's not South Africa, just plain Africa.....

this is taken from their website: The Annual Miss Africa USA Scholarship Pageant is founded on the basis of advancing the cause for women of African descent. The Pageant which was previously produced by the Shrine of Africa LLC is a charity event for the community, uniting Africans and friends of Africa in celebrating the African cultural heritage in this great nation of The United States of America.

The Miss Africa USA Pageant is now managed and produced by African Women's Development Foundation Inc (AWDF Inc), a 501c-3-non-profit organization headquartered in the State of Georgia.

Is there a different pagent for Ms. South africa? The guy very clearly said she was Ms. South Africa. Maybe they call the first runner up in the Ms. Africa pageant "Miss South Africa." And second place could be Miss East Africa, third place is Miss West...etc. that way no one is loser. I am kidding - i don't know anything about this stuff but there seem to be a lot of not very beautiful women winning beauty pageants.

that is a great word for her...strange looking. she is certainly not ugly - but i would never imagine that she won a pageant.

I've seen Nyasha judge these stupid two bit pageants and I don't like the things she says about the children. First of all, I can't stand her. Let me state that for the record and I don't care if anyone likes me. For a grown woman to sit there and judge a poor innocent child who most likely DOESN'T want to be standing there in the first place, is disgusting. I've heard her say stuff like, "Eww, her hair," and the kid can actually hear Nyasha make that remark. One time the kid told her mother what Nysha said and the mom started bawling. Believe it or not, this stupid b**ch is given the power for more and more women to have body problems and issues with their beauty. Fu*k her and her loser dog.

you have to consider the source. she probably grew up in pageants and beauty pageants so she doesn't know any other way of life. her life is centered around how she and others look. she seems to know everything about how to look but doesn't know how to talk to people.
she's shallow and dull, very strange looking too. how much plastic surgery has she had to complete her total look?

I didn't see Nyasha with a dog, yet.

The blonde judge that brings her dog is Deedy Melanson.

People that carry their dogs around like fashion accessories are strange and obviously
very self-centered. If they truly cared for their pet's well-being they wouldn't
treat them like an object.

I totally agree with you that the judges making disparaging comments within
earshot of contestants is unforgivable and just plain mean.

i agree. i came here to say the same. the way she talks about these girls is just so sad, its pathetic. i wonder what type of self esteem issues she grew up with, and i am pretty sure she still has them now. she really needs to be replaced, and she's ugly and she has the nerve to talk. eugh

Actually, Katie, it is DeeDee that has the little dog. I think her name is DeeDee....my mind just went totally blank. I read that her dog was pretty old and sick so she just wanted to keep it close to her. Her dog died last season, I believe. Anyway, I totally agree with you about Nyasha. I have seen her roll her eyes, make faces of disgust, make fun of a child's hair or dress, and even quit looking altogether and just go off to lala land and not pay any attention at all. I have even seen her yawn like she has better things to do than being there. I have seen her give compliments very rarely. It is rude for her to make those mean faces especially where the girls can see her and hear her insults. I realize it is a pageant and they are there to be judged but she is one wicked judge. They are just kids. I wonder if she has ever watched one of the shows so she can see just how rude and cruel she can be?

She's not only ugly, she's racist. She always brags on the black girls and puts down most of the whites girls.
