See thats the stereotype 'diet' carbonated drinks have, just cos there's no sugar doesn't mean carbonated drinks are healthy like drinking fresh bottled water for example. Soda unless its 'Soda Water', isn't a health requirement if one is seriously into health and fitness.
Water, milk, eggs, fruits, foods with protins and fibre, and non-fatty foods with carbohydrates etc healthy things. Anybody like a specialist or a qualified doctor will tell you, soda's at the bottom of any drinking list when thinking about personal fitness.
