The (newer) 360 pad is actually really good for Tekken

I've found.

The twisted, elevated d-pad is excellent and the 4 buttons are perfectly size, nice and small and close to each other so it's not hard to mash 2 punches or 2 kicks together. The only downside is it would have been better if you could switch the d-pad into the left stick's position, but you soon get used to it.

I've found it's actually even better than the MadKatz SFIV fight pad for playing, which I also have.
