Who Are These People?

Why do they keep bringing in people who aren't Food Network (or Cooking Channel) stars for this show? Honestly, an editor for Food & Wine Magazine? There are so many others I'd like to see on there. Has Paula Deen ever been on? How about Rachael Ray? It's been a while since Ina has been on. I'd like to see Kelsey Nixon (who does show up on most episodes of Unique Sweets). How about the Dessert First lady, Anne Thornton? Sandra Lee? Let's have fewer restaurant owners/chefs & more FN/CC stars, please.

I know both Rachael Ray and Sandra Lee have been on only once or twice... then there's folks like Michael Symon and Claire Robinson who seem to be on every dang episode. Me thinks they need a little more balance on this show among all their stars.

Yeah, I don't know why they have all these food magazine/food critic people on, particularly in these last couple seasons. I have to say, though, I was glad to see Gail Simmons in the last episode (and, as the credits now show, she'll be making at least one more appearance this season), but I found it rather interesting they made no reference to her being on Top Chef. God forbid should there be any other food-related shows on any other network, right?

I'm sure they choose people based on how interesting their choices are and how much they travel, an dhow well they can describe it. I like seeing new people instead of the same regulars.

There are a lot of FN/CC stars who haven't been on TBTIEA. Kerry Vincent's fellow judge Keegan Gerhardt, for example. Jeffrey Saad. Kelsey Nixon. Either of the Mexican show hostesses--Ingrid Hoffman or the other girl (I forget her name). Tom Pizzico. Jamie & Bobby Deen. Amanda Freitag. I don't think Michael Chiarello (pardon the spelling) has been on much. Ellie Krieger.
Gale Gand. Sandra Lee hasn't been on in a while. Has Mark Dacascos been on the show itself? Duff's assistants Geoff (he was on Chefs vs. City & on Challenge) and/or Mary Alice. Mario Batali. The Hearty Boys. The man who does budget dinners for his friends (brain freeze here). How about a couple of the better known challenge competitors like Bronwen Weber, especially if the theme is cakes or sweets?

BTW Kerry Vincent (bless her heart!) wore a cute pinky-purple hat that did NOT come close to complimenting her green tween suit to tea at the Adolphus on the Finger Food episode!
