Nicknames: 'Sweet JP' and 'Cherry Boy Hunter'

Is anybody able to explain what these nicknames mean? I did a google and the best I could come up with was this: "'Sweet JP' is a snarky epithet hurled at him by the others because he’s too fair-minded to use landmines, rocket-propelled grenades or tactical nukes just to win a race. Shonoshee's epithet of 'Cherry Boy Hunter' comes from her percieved lack of interest in the opposite sex."

For some reason I always seem to go on the IMDb boards with no post at just the right time when there are posts....The explanation for JP sounds about right. "Cherry Boy" means a virgin male in Japan, and I don't remember the movie saying people thought Shonoshee was cold towards guys but that's a likely explanation for the name. Or maybe people think she actually is promiscuous.
