Redline (2009) and Redline (2007)
Looking for this movie I found another with the same name and (almost) the same synopsis, done 2 years before.
Are they really similar?

Nope, besides the name there's absolutely no connection. Redline (2007) is a live-action race movie with real cars and Redline (2009) is a spin-off from the sci-fi anime "Trava: Fist planet". Redline (2009) took about 7 years to animate, so the production for that movie likely even started way before Redline (2007) was made.
The only similarity is that both movies are about racing, but that's about it.:) Hope that answers your question!
Thank you LeonX-1 for that input. I looked up Trava, and it looks interesting too, may be I can get a hand on that one before watching Redline.
