They're not canceling Dexter. They've started writing next season, but that will probably be the last one. Showtime and HBO are notorious for only having shows that run 5-6 seasons.

This last season wasnt that bad but the show beens loosing quality since 3rd season at least for me.

shareI agree with nightmare111 on this one (as do several of my Dexter loving friends): what started out a truly excellent show (1st two seasons were superb) has been on auto-pilot for several seasons. I'm not alone judging the john lithgow/trinity killer season (3) being the absolute worst yet, followed closely by colin hanks' season. Also loved the Julia Stiles featured season but getting very sick of the beaten-to-death, lazy plot device of Harry the Friendly Ghost. Upon seeing a few of MC Hall's awful feature films (peep world, gamer), I think he should stick with t.v. (gonna check this one out though).
