Awesome movie with the sad ending?

I just loved the movie, I love these kind of movies which are romantic in elegant way & actually have a story which involve people who are just normal human beings,

Ending was sad, I mean they could have kept this relation in future too,

I agree, the ending was truly beautiful. I think their connection was so perfect they didn't want to risk ruining it, and the connection gave them hope that maybe they could salvage their marriages and rediscover what they loved in their mates.
That's my take on it.
