Post your thoughts on the first episode.

I think the show is okay so far. I laughed at most of the punchlines, but not in the "so funny I've lost my breath" way that I'm used to with watching Dunham.

I think Achmed's skit was the funniest. I didn't expect him to jump into the crowd like that, but when he did, it made my evening.

Bubba J had some good dialogue exchanges with the gun enthusiast.

As for the stuff that missed the mark, Peanut's skit with Brooke Hogan ended too abruptly. He's such an absurd and wonderful character who can be amusing with any topic, but here he was wasted in plugging Brooke's CD.

The gay jokes with Walter and Bubba J did nothing for me. I'm all for gay rights and I thought "Bruno" was hilarious, but these moments had too much of a "been there, done that" feeling. Yeah, they're acting gay. We see that. But where's the joke?

I was somewhat disappointed with the overall outcome of this first episode, but I think it's far too early to dismiss it entirely. I'll give the show a few more chances and hopefully we'll see it grow into something gold. Many shows that are considered classics today didn't always have a stellar premiere.

It was better than I expected it to be, but I was hoping for a sitcom, not a "set up the sketch" type of show. I enjoyed it, but I didn't really laugh at much. The one thing that was the funniest to me was the end of the Peanut dating sketch when he was being wheeled away on the gurney and in a last ditch effort to impress Brooke, he started spouting out the 3 black guys in a bar joke Jeff told him not to use. I'd hate to see it get cancelled since Jeff brought ventriloquism back to major attention, but I can't see it lasting long if he doesn't shake it up.

Overall, I liked it. I'm kind of lukewarm about Jeff Dunham in general; I watched and enjoyed his specials, but I realize that without the ventriloquism angle he's just another generic comedian. But I thought the show was decent enough to warrant a few more views from me. If Jeff personalizes the show a bit, it might have some potential.

Future posts such as these will affect you in the future!

I like Jeff but you are right this show just wasn't up to his specials. I hope this doesn't stop his TV specials...they are hilarious.

I wasn't too crazy about the skit with Walter in the bathroom....now that was dumb!
I did giggle when Peanut threw up on Brooke Hogan's shoes and thought the line by Bubba J to the Vietnam Vet was funny. "Did you make it back"? LOL.

I only laughed a couple times in this whole episode.

I didn't like Achmed's skit. Bubba J is never a puppet that I like, so that was wasted for me.

Walter's skit was just OK. The funniest part was back in the studio, where they mentioned that they're in the bathroom with 15 camera men.

Peanut's skit was OK. But the best part was revealing that Achmed put peanuts in the guacamole (also Peanut being allergic to peanuts is kinda funny in a groan-worthy sort of way.)

it wasnt as bad as i was expecting it to be. its WAY better than that horrid "Girlfriend" show.

i really liked Walter's therapist sketch but he's my favorite so im biased on that.

Peanut was wasted. and Brooke Hogan looked like a man in her "sexy" shots haha

i got alotta light laughs from Bubba J's skit but i live in hick country. its hard not to laugh at a puppet making fun of all the ppl around you.

overall it wasnt bad, not great, but if they continue to show the encore after Tosh.0 (which i LOVE) i'll prolly keep watching. but i wont watch it at 9 (cst) b/c ive gotta watch Fringe.

I was disappointed, and I find it sad, because I remember watching "Spark of Insanity" and laughing my a$$ off.

I think that the best part was when Achmed poisoned Peanut with the peanuts. Other than that, I liked Bubba J's skit.

As I said in another thread. The sketch with Brooke Hogan was so bad I literally felt awkward/embarrassed that I was watching it. The jokes were bad and Brooke is such a terrible actress she couldn't even pull her four lines off without just looking sad. I thought this show would be decent, and the Walter skit was great but it was just down hill after that.

I literally cringed during the Peanut/Brooke skit it was that bad to me. We go from genius in Chappelle's Show to Mind of Mencia to this. Although as bad as I thought this was (or most of it) it's leaps beyond Mind of Mencia and I'm so damn happy he is off the air now.

Now if only Secret Girlfriend would get canned....

We were disappointed. It was prepubescent 12 year old boy "humor". I doubt we will watch again.

I'm not so sure this will work. First of all, everyone knows who has a brain in their heads that Walter and the gang aren't real. So why would people react to them in these situations? I think it is funnier when Jeff is on stage with these guys telling jokes and we picture what they are talking about. That is the whole idea of ventriloquism.
