Grotesque, shockingly primitive stereotype. I realize it's a character and is supposed to be exaggerated, but between the giant lips and teeth and the grotesquely bulging cheeks, I don't see how Dunham wouldn't realize how offensive this puppet is. Especially being voiced by a 40 year old white guy.

I slightly wondered at that too (being African American). Sweet Daddy took me by surprise when it came to the voice. I could kind of draw similarities between the voices of his other characters, but Sweet Daddy has a voice of his own. However, I don't find it offensive. His characters have different ethnic backgrounds, like Achmed, which in some places, I've heard, was considered offensive. I find it funny, a pimp puppet.
Can't take these things too seriously.
