What happened to Peanut?

Surely you've noticed that Peanut isn't the same as he is in the stand ups. He's bulky with a slightly bigger head shorter neck and lots of hair. Why the puppet change?
I'm used to seeing him when he was slimmer and had a little less hair. The way he looks in his stand up videos.

I think the original puppet was finally wearing out. Peanut has been part of Jeff's act for years if I'm recalling correctly. I guess there was a little redesign with crafting the new puppet.

If you've noticed, all of the puppets are different/new for the show--most notable: Achmed is actually see-through now, an impossibility when he was a hand puppet!

This is likely a production need--consider that, all of his old puppets have been cared for greatly, and only ever move between the trunk and the podium during his routine.

The TV show ones are launched across the room, dragged through dirt, handled by hundreds of people, exposed to various elements, and put in a great deal of danger.

It's very likely that Dunham insured his puppets, they are his livelihood. It's also *very* unlikely any insurance company would let you expose the insured to that level of destructive and degenerative power.

Even without the insurance consideration, it's unlikely he'd want to potentially ruin the originals with the various stunts pulled on the show.

Hence the new, and slightly-different models. As the originals are all hand-crafted, it's quite understandable that any type of reproduction would look different.

Good guess but the original/stage versions were used in the segments. There were "stunt" versions of Achmed and Bubba made for stunts but anytime you see the characters speak they are the same ones Jeff uses on stage. The Peanut used for the stand up bits looks a little different because it is the ORIGINAL peanut from 1988! Jeff felt it was fitting that the original Peanut be used in those bits as he's one of the reasons he made it to this stage. The Peanut in the segments, however, is the one that appears night after night on stage. Additionally, there are very few people that actually handle the characters. They are very delicate.

I have the feeling that Peanut keeps getting updated. For some reason, his hair seems greener. But remember, when you use a dummy for a long time, they wear down and you have to replace them. Jose is different too, with the sombrero on his head.

who portrayed peanut's ex in the season finale of the jeff dunham show? Cause it kind of looked like Stacy Keibler.
