You've got to be kidding me.

I have no words. I thought we were rid of this guy, and then he comes back with his own show. I'm almost positive that this is one of the first signs of the coming apocalypse. What were the executives thinking when they game Comedy Central, a usually respectable channel, the go-ahead to make this show? I'm bitching for nothing really, 'cause its not going to last more than a season, but still. This guy has to be stopped. How can someone so unfunny come so far? I swear to God that I could make a better show than this guy. I wish him no harm, I just wish that he'd stop telling "jokes."

Proved it, make a show and put it on youtube.

Go away, cynics need not apply. We don't care what you have to say.

Amen!

I enjoy Jeff Dunham, and I'm not much of a fan of ventriloquism. I've seen him live in concert. It's the characterizations he puts into his puppets that make him good.

Now, I don't know if this show will be a success. I doubt it. It's premiering on the hardest timeslot on TV now. And I don't know how well his stage act will translate to a half-hour variety show-like series.

And who cares about what you care about? Oh that's right - nobody!

And what is this place? A public internet forum, where people can share opinions, be them positive OR negative.

LOL. You just failed so hard...

Newsflash... if you could make something better, you would be. Clearly you can't so stfu.

reply

regardless of whether the op can make something better than jeff dunham, dunhams comedy is lame. i honestly cant believe this guy is successful.

reply

You don't have to produce great TV in order to have an opinion and the OP has his and is justified in voicing it on the internet. Lame white knights who love this type of lame schtick are just making idiotic statements about making a show. This guy is a hack of the utmost degree and his stand-up act sucks to high heaven. He's been doing the same thing for ages now and morons flock to it like flies on a pile of dog turds. I can't imagine why they gave this hack his own show, and I'm sure it won't last long.

You mean you don't enjoy hearing the most used/re-used/cliche jokes in comedy only coming from a puppet? I mean sure airplane food is bad... but when a puppet thinks so... THAT'S HILARIOUS!!! He's not real, he can't eat that food. O, Mr. Dunham you saint, keep the magic coming.

Horrible logic. Some people are just lazy and don't push their talents to the limit. Assuming that if the talent is there, that it will be utilized, is total and complete naivete.

One of the most popular comedians in the country and his specials broke comedy central ratings records through the roof.

Why would they NOT sign him?!

i think hes just politically correct funny and easy to watch..he is good at what he does but i have no idea how he's "hilarious". its mostly re-used material just the puppet says it..and it doesnt even seem like he spends much time on his jokes.

I like his comedy specials, but this show was not funny at all. I started to fall asleep while watching it. I don't think it'll last past the first season.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Mutiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

I like his specials, and I don't think I'm a Midwestern *beep* (in fact, that's highly offensive. And I know you didn't say that, BlackSunshine. I just had to reply to that.) I've seen him live in concert, and he's good.

I do think that it's stupid to buy a CD of a ventriloquist. Because part of the joke is visual. Plus, I've heard that CD. Eventually all the characters sound the same.

However, I will say that when I saw him in concert, I knew most of his jokes because I had already seen his specials on CC. And I also didn't find this show funny at all. There were only two places in it where I mildly chuckled, and, right now, I really don't remember them.

I won't be coming back to watch it next week.

Politically correct!? Are you f'ing serious?? Most of his "humor" is overtly racist! And not even cleverly racist to make a point, his most popular retarded puppet is a dead Muslim terrorist. That is neither smart commentary, nor is it fresh or funny in the least. Go to hell Jeff Dunham. I hope Satan rams his hand up Jeff Dunham's ass and makes him say something actually funny. Anyone who derives any sort of moronic, mouth-breathing pleasure from this talentless dumbass' act can join him for all I care.

I honestly don't see how hand puppets of stereotypical characters are funny, especially when they don't say anything witty. Oh well, to each his/her own.

After all, this is America, the same place where Lady Gaga and Nickelback are famous...

Yes, I feel exactly the same!!!! I feel like throwing up whenever I see his dumb show on TV.

reply

This is highly offensive for Midwesterners.

I enjoy Jeff Dunham, and I've seen him in concert. This program was lousy, though. I won't watch it again.

I don't find Jeff Foxworthy or Larry the Cable Guy all that funny, but that's my own taste. I don't like either Leno or O'Brien. I prefer Letterman.

I love British humor. But some people don't like or understand British humor. That doesn't mean that they are less intelligent than me.

Just because people have different tastes in humor than you doesn't mean they're stupid. And quit putting down a whole "group" of people just because they live in Midwestern states. That's arrogant and rude. And assuming that all people are alike everywhere. It's highly uncalled for. So you don't like Jeff Dunham while other people find him the funniest person who ever lived? That doesn't mean they're wrong. They have different tastes.

Don't forget the south :) I'm from the midwest (granted, Chicago, so its probably not the midwest you're thinking of) and I find Jeff Dunham to be the single worst and undeserving famous comedian out there today. His jokes are a triple threat of awful: stale, low-brow, and overtly racist. This guy's jokes would be old in 1997, why is he so damn popular now?? He might as well have his puppets ask "What's the deal with airline food?"

Jeff is funny and talented, yes. But not in this format. He needs to do specials only and that is it.

I've tried to sit through some of this guys material before and man was it terrible and unfunny. I don't remember exactly which one it was but after 20 minutes I just couldn't take it anymore. Hasn't this guy been around since about the 80s though? because I could've sworn he was in standup specials on HBO years ago.
