I actually enjoyed this movie and it seems like a lot of other people did as well. I feel like it's gonna be one of those movies that got mixed reaction at release but years later it's reception become warmer. That's a cult classic right? Kinda? maybe?

I tend to agree. "Cult classics" usually become so because of an intriguing or unique story.
The story in Oblivion is downright ridiculous. The movie's visuals are stunning and it was really well filmed IMO, but the plot was just nonsense/foolishness.
I liked the movie overall but can't see it being regarded as a cult classic.
A dystopian society will escape into more and more ridiculous fantasies to avoid dealing with the real pain, they'll want singing bears and (more) time travel.
shareFor those of us who see in this movie a beautiful story about humanity, yes. Those who pick apart the story looking for details, no.
