I'm really coming to love this movie

No it's not perfect, and it'll never be a cult classic -- there's no memorable dialogue, for one thing.

But I'm really starting to appreciate how good this movie actually is. Oblivion is beautiful. The sky tower set alone is phenomenal. The chase scene were the drones try to shoot down Jack and Julia was amazing. Then there's all the other design elements, the overall look of this thing, and how that actually helps tell the story.

And the story isn't nearly as incoherent or silly as some people were saying. Yeah the ending is a bit ridiculous -- again, this is not a perfect movie -- but I thought the whole thing made perfect sense and actually worked a lot better than most sci-fi movies that tackle something like alien invasion or dystopian Earth.

The actors were amazing, especially Vika. Seeing everything come together in the end, seeing how the elements of the past were incorporated into the world they were living in in the present, was a treasure. It's well-worn stuff for sci-fi movies but this one did it well.

Moon is most definitely a better movie, but I like the feel of Oblivion. The design is amazing, and you feel like you've been transported to that world. The ending is what really hurts it, but the movie has improved with repeat viewings.

The ending with another clone finding Julia?
It's wonderful!
