News on the (hopefully) sequel?

...this is so worthy of a sequel! I was wondering if someone knows anything...

I agree. Although I don't think this was an amazing movie, it was very good for a directorial debut and I like the idea of a series of detective stories with the two characters, kinda like a Korean Sherlock Holmes. Haha

i also would love to see a sequel. a gem of a film, i am surprised that nobody has mentioned the amazing chemistry of the main characters, this could very well be a long lived pairing. a most impressive film debut loved every minute of it .

A sequel would be nice! The movie ends with them getting an assignment from the King, so they could film that.

There once was a talk about a sequel.
But the film just didn't make enough money.
I don't think it's happening, although lead actor Hwang has gained incredible amount of ticket power over the last few years.
So if he wants a sequel, who knows? It could work.

I'm not surprised. This was as weak as water. It didn't know whether it wanted to be a Korean version of Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes, some kind of noir tribute film, a thriller or a comedy and in the end proved to be nothing much at all.And talk abut a ridiculously contrived storyline, especially the initial set-up. Good grief! No hopefully after almost 7 years, a sequel won't be lumbered upon audiences.🐭
