The meet-cute scene was more funny than cute, she’s startled at first then he just jumps in her car and they ride off….
Next scene, he goes “I have a date”.

What the hell? They just skipped over like 5 steps. How did they connect? What did he say that put her at ease? He’s obviously not a looker so the only way she was gonna give him a chance is with a witty, insightful mature conversation… but they didn’t show it.

Weak and lazy writing if you ask me
